Hot off the Press: DOE Approves Jordan Cove LNG Export

The Department of Energy announced this morning that it has approved the LNG Export facility at Jordan Cove in Coos Bay, OR for long-term contracts with non-free trade countries.  This ruling gives the owners the necessary approval to be able to finance and build the export facility.

The DOE approved export of 0.8 Bcf/day, as requested in the application.  The project is owned and developed by Calgary-based Veresen.
