Crimson Reports New Completions; Going Quiet for the Rest of 2011

Crimson Exploration reported its quarterly earnings yesterday and noted two new completions, including one in the Mid-Bossier Shale:
  • Kodiak #1H, Crimson Exploration:  8.9 MMcf/day IP, 15/64" choke, 8,833 psi; Carthage Field (Mid-Bossier), San Augustine Co., Survey: CONICHE, S, A-9
  • Blue #1 H, Crimson Exploration:  8.3 MMcf/day IP, 14/64" choke, 9,100 psi; Carthage Field (Haynesville Shale), San Augustine Co., Survey: CONICHE, S, A-9

With the completion of these two wells, Crimson has finished drilling in the Haynesville Shale for 2011.  Until natural gas prices recover, Crimson will only drill in East Texas to with the goal of preserving any future leases.

The Mid-Bossier spreadsheet and maps have been updated to reflect the new data.
