Haynesville 2009 Top Ten List

It has long been the vogue in journalism to do a year-end top ten list. Since I practice a sort of low end, black market parasite journalism, I’m feeling the need to join in.

It’s been a really interesting year for the Haynesville Shale and the world of natural gas. Taking the time to write a list makes me realize that the Haynesville Play is going to have a bright future, but it won’t be without challenges. I’ll start with number ten today and add a new one each day before the end of the year.

#10: The Fight over Fracking
#9: Copenhagen & Energy Policy
#8: Natural Gas Finds an International Stage
#7: Coal's Tribulations
#6: Natural Gas Successfully Lobbies Washington
#5: Resilence in Recession
#4: Mid-Bossier Shale: The Stacked Play
#3: Gas Price Gyrations
#2: Perception of Natural Gas Shifting from Scarcity to Abundance
#1: Corporate Strategy Shift to Domestic Natural Gas
