Utah's Natural Gas Corridor

It's old news, but it never got much ink. Back in January, Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman declared Utah's north-south Interstate 15 from Idaho to Arizona a "Natural Gas Corridor" (press release and map). The move was made to encourage the use of natural gas vehicles, which are less expensive and more environmentally friendly than their petroleum-based counterparts. It also supports the Utah natural gas industry, especially Utah-based Questar Corp.

I think Mr. Huntsman should be heartily congratulated for his progressive thinking and for his use of natural gas in energy policy. Unfortunately/fortunately he is now the U.S. Ambassador to China. Maybe he can bring natural gas enlightenment to China, as that nation certainly can use it.
