Tiger Pipeline Land Acquisition Begins

The Shreveport Times reported from a meeting commencing the land acquisition phase of the construction of the 180 mile, 42" Tiger Pipeline from Carthage, TX to Delhi, LA. Since the pipeline will more or less mirror the route of CenterPoint's recently constructed pipeline, the Tiger Pipeline developer, Energy Transfer Partners, doesn't expect too many obstructions to construction. The company believes that they will need to acquire property from about 300 land owners.

The project is still on target for a 2011 completion and is expected to cost between $1.0 and $1.2 billion.
